Our Story
BackLOHMANNkonzept was founded in Hamburg in 2005 by Heinz Lohmann. The starting point was an assessment that remains valid to this day: the healthcare system is constantly evolving, yet many good ideas fail due to existing structures, poor interfaces, insufficient collaboration, and weak communication. This is where the company chose to focus—analytical, well connected, and independent.
From the outset, the focus was on the healthcare economy as a whole: how innovation can contribute to better management and better care, how stakeholders can be meaningfully connected, and how new approaches can be integrated into existing systems.
Over the past 20 years, LOHMANNkonzept has continuously accompanied the transformation of the healthcare system. New management concepts, digitalisation, the shift toward outpatient care, telemedicine, and in recent years artificial intelligence have been core topics—always with a clear view to practical implementation and real-world impact. From the beginning, the interaction between ideas and concrete stakeholders has been central, bringing together providers of services, technology, and digital solutions with outpatient, inpatient, and home-based care providers.
Today, LOHMANNkonzept is a think tank for innovation in the healthcare economy with a strong network. We work with companies, organisations, and institutions that do not merely discuss change, but actively shape it.
